This page explains the difference between using the Graphing Calculator and loading pages on the site.
Expressions and graph settings
The plotting tool evaluates expressions and axis bounds in your browser. Clicking Plot functions does not submit those inputs to the server. The calculator does not require a visitor account to plot a function.
Technical information
When you load a page, your browser sends the requested URL and connection information, including your IP address, to the services delivering the page. Hosting and security services may handle that information to operate and protect the website.
Cookies and administration
WordPress can use cookies to maintain sign-in sessions and account preferences. The administrator sign-in page may use reCAPTCHA to verify access. Those sign-in features are separate from plotting an equation.
External websites
When you follow a link off this site, the destination applies its own privacy practices.
Using the tool on a shared device
Close the page when you are finished if you do not want the current graph visible to the next user. Return to the calculator homepage to start a new plot.
Calculation data and website traffic
Entering an expression changes the graph on the current page. Loading a new page or following a link is a separate browser request. The plotter does not require a name or an email address.
Browser controls
You can manage cookies through your browser settings and clear saved site data after using a shared device. Clearing cookies may sign you out of WordPress if you are an administrator.
Policy updates
This page should be reviewed when the site adds a contact form, analytics, advertising or another service that changes how visitor information is handled.
